So thats a poster based on the cover of In Cold Blood, and standard game shop posters for Epidemic and Hot Wheels Turbo racing. You can view these and the rest of the posters here.

Now then, shall we get on with those press kits? Ok then, you twisted my arm.

First up I up I give you….

This one came all the way front suny Belguim and is in really great condition. I love it, its is a crazy shape and a crazy concept.

So whats last I hear you cry? Well something really special. Very hard to find and usually priced at stupid prices we have….

Legend Of Dragoon Press Kit

An absolutely diamond find here. Legend of Dragoon itself is highly sought after and highly priced. Well here is the press kit version. Thankfully I did not have to remortgage my house to get a hold of this one (I got Lady Defcon to buy it instead  ).

Well there you go, 3 really nice finds and really quite rare finds. I have not actually ever seen another This Is Football press kit anywhere, only 1 other Medievil 2 press kit, and maybe 2 Legend Of Dragoon press kits however they were highly priced.

Well I hope you are all enjoying this, who knows what tomorrow might bring?

PlayStation Poster Fix Time

May 15, 2008 | In Defcon | 1 Comment

Well I had hoped to throw up not one, not two but three press kits tonight, however for once I have been very busy and I have only just got back in from karate.

So unfortunatly tonight all your get is a little poster update. Tonight we add 3 more posters to the collection and these are below

PToca2.jpg
PSledStorm.jpg

Obviously you can tell what the games are, and like a lot of the posters to come these are not your usually mass market games that had massive advertising budgets so its nice to see some posters for them.

Well tomorrow we do press kits. I promise.

Optical Illusion

May 14, 2008 | In Defcon | No Comments

Yep you are not seeing double this is infact my second update today. But it does have something to do with optical illusions.

The average male brain can process millions of thought processes at a time, however most males do not have the cognitive ability to actually gain any use out of these thought processes. Further more the male brain can be tricked into seemingly not seeing portions of images if enough suggestive thought is put in front of them.

Take this following image for example. Somewhere within this image there is a well known PlayStation 1 game. See how long it takes you to spot it.

PDiversDream.jpg

Did you spot it? I know its a toughie isn’t it. Well I shall give you the answer. Its Diver’s Dream by Konami.

Now enough of this stupidity. This little joke here is just to announce that I have added 3 more posters to the poster gallery. You can visit it by going to the Other Stuff > Artwork and Posters section.

I also need to add that I have added the searches for eBay France and eBay Australia to the Search Assistant, click the image in the sidebar to go see them. I have also started adding searches for the search term sealed in order to satisfy those collectors that like to collect only sealed versions of games. (Or in other words those guys over at Sealed Game Heaven, hi guys!)

I will throw up a complete search list when I have got them all finished, and find a better way to navigate through them all.

Well that is really me done tonight. Look out for more tomorrow I guess.

Cheers

Poster Child for a generation.

May 14, 2008 | In Defcon | No Comments

Well something must be really wrong with me. Another update? I must be mad. Well know not really, just managing to get on top of everything and actually get some content up on the site.

So what have my grubby little hands been doing today? Well I have been lucky enough to win 1 or 2 posters recently on eBay so now is the time to start slowly drip feeding them onto the site. So from now until they are done expect to see some posters going on the site everyday until I am done uploading them.

To start off with, I have thrown 4 new posters up to go with the 2 we already had up in the Artwork and Posters section of the website. Clicking on the image below will take you straight to them.

PCoolboarders.jpg

Some really nice ones there today, and some more really nice ones to come over the next few days….
Oh and I won’t be stopping my usual updates, they are all photographed and editted now. Just have to throw them on the site as and when I do the write ups. Also managed to bag me a real beauty recently that I am excited about and cannot wait to get in my hands.

Well cheery pip folks, check back tomorrow for more posters, or maybe later on for more updates. Unless I can find myself some work to do be doing. :)

eBay Search Assistant

May 13, 2008 | In Defcon | No Comments

Well as I am sure you have noticed I have thrown up the initial idea behind the eBay Search Assistant I was talking about. If you click on the link in the sidebar it will fill your world with eBay search joy. Or it might not, however it is done and lets see how it goes. Obviously I still need to do the country specific stuff but eBay UK is done.

If you think I have missed an obvious search, or there is a search you would like to see, drop me a line and I will see if we can get it working. I will try and get the country searches up as soon as I can.

Something For The Weekend?

May 11, 2008 | In Defcon | 1 Comment

Well hello guys, hope everyone has had a great weekend. We have had great weather here so I have been trying to enjoy it as much as I can, while still getting all my weekend jobs out of the way.

On the site front I managed to find the issue that was causing the website to run like a legless hamster, but you probably noticed that from that fact that the site is fast and that I made a forum post about it. I have also managed to photograph some more additions, as well as a bulk lot of a certain item that will be appearing here soon. Unfortunatly I haven’t had time to do the page write ups for the new stuff yet but I can confirm it contains….

  • 2 Press Kits
  • 1 Game Combo
  • 2 Demos
  • 1 Memory Card
  • 2 Guns
  • 1 Dance Mat
  • 1 Controller
  • 1 Limited Edition
  • 71 Secret Things For Now

…so an update will be coming soon, or I may just try and get them done as and when I have a bit of time so check back soon and often to see if I have added anything.

Thirdly please check out this post on the forums and give me your opinions on it. I hope it will be a good idea and people might get some use out of it, however I would like your input on it before I go ahead and do it.

And finally I had better give you guys something then hadn’t I. I mean have you read all that and not give you an exciting find at the end of it.

Ok how about a developer item? How about a developer item that is a replica of an in game item? How about a chance to see Lady Defcon in the flesh?
Well then how about the……

G Police Staff Jacket

ogpolicejacketfront.jpg
ogpolicejacketfront1.jpg
ogpolicejacketarmright.jpg
ogpolicejacketarmleft.jpg

Yep that sright, i wasn’t telling lies. Thats Lady Defcon. And thats about all she is going to let me put on the site without the threat of having my boys checked into the Slice and Dice Hotel so lets no go any further shall we. :)

But seriously this is a jacket that was given to developers that worked on G Police. It is based upon the uniforms worn by the characters in the game and is actually a top quality jacket in its own right.

Well thats your lot for now, remember to check back to see what else I have in store, and if you wish hard enough the Great Fairy AtariBuff might appear. You never know……

Clearing the backlog

May 3, 2008 | In Defcon | 1 Comment

Well after a nasty couple of weeks thanks to blowing my back out and also a horrible case of food poisoning I am almost feeling human again. But being the lazy git that I am I decided to spend today trying to catch up on some of the backlog of updates I needed to do.

So without further ado I give you an update.

Resident Evil 2 Special Edition Evil Dead Game & Video Pack Maximum Force Gun Pack
Racing Twin Pack Mini Dance Pad SunStation Pad
Tiltforce2 Time Out Memory Card Movie Remote
Dual Force Steering Wheel

So in short we have

  1. Resident Evil 2 Special Edition
  2. Evil Dead Game & Video Pack
  3. Maximum Force Gun Pack
  4. Racing Twin Pack Game Combo
  5. Mini Dance Pad
  6. SunStation Pad
  7. Tiltforce2
  8. Time Out Video Game IC Card
  9. Gamars Movie Card Remote Controllers
  10. Dual Force Steering Wheel

So that clears out a few cobwebs from the update cupboard. How about a few more then?

OControllerCufflinks.jpg
OSymbolCufflinks.jpg
ODeathtrapCardFront.jpg
ODieHardTags.jpg
OTankRacerStuff.jpg
OUnholyWarCardFront.jpg

So to break that lot down we have

  1. Sony Controller Cufflinks
  2. PlayStation Symbols Cufflinks
  3. Deathtrap Dungeon Card Game
  4. Die Hard Trilogy Dog Tags
  5. Tank Racer Bottle Opener and Beer Mat
  6. The Unholy War Character Cards

You can check out some more pics of these in the Other Stuff section.

So as you can see the wallet has been burnt a little lately, but thats not to say its going to stop. I already have some more stuff lined up including hardware, and at least 2 press kits. Its all go here at the PAL PlayStation Collective.

I also heard that the Fairy Ataribuff has had a nice acquisition recently that he may show off to us all but only if you are good, go to bed on time, eat all your greens and brush your teeth twice a day.

Take it easy chaps and chappesses.

Whole Lotta Lara! - Tomb Raider Collection

April 13, 2008 | In Defcon | 3 Comments

Well its been a while so how about I give you guys an update which includes 2 new finds? Sound like a good idea? I thought so. But first I have to bore you.

The Tomb Raider series has obviously been a big part of the PlayStation 1, and this game alone has wasted me countless hours trying to dodge rolling boulders, hang from ledges way too high in the air, and work out just where do those bubbles come from?

Obviously the popularity of Lara Croft has made this series transform from game to large screen heroine, comic book star, and soft drink advertiser. And along with all of those things it means that this game series has a mean set of limited edition and other collectibles. And so I thought I would show case a few that I own in my very own Tomb Raider Collection Run Down!!!!!

First off lets start with the original Tomb Raider, and this one is a French release blister pack containing game, memory card and controller.

SETomb1LimitedFront.jpg

Next up we have Tomb Raider 3, again from France, packed up with a controller and a walkthrough guide.

SETomb3LimitedFront.jpg

Next up we have the Australian released Tomb Raiders Collectors Edition.

SETombRaiderCEFront.jpg

How about some double packs? What about two versions of Tomb Raider 1 & 2? Both French releases again.

SETombRaiderDoubleFront.jpg
SETomb2PackFront.jpg

And we can folow that up with a Tomb Raider 3 & 4 Double Pack, again straight from France.

SERaiderDouble2Front.jpg

And we can end with a Tomb Raider 3 Memory Card.

HTombRaiderMemoryFront.jpg

So that is quite an impressive amount of Tomb Raider limited editions and hardware already. But how about we add 2 more? And more specifically, how about we add two more new finds to that?

So without further ado I give you. The Tomb Raider Clock Edition!

Tomb Raider Clock Edition

And I will quickly follow that up with the Tomb Raider II - Lethal, Loaded & Irrestible Boxset.

Lethal, Loaded & Irrestible Boxset

Tomb Raider 2 - Lethal Loaded & Irresistible

Now if only that was all the Tomb Raider merchandise you could get, alas this is just the tip of a very large iceberg. An iceberg that I will have to obtain one day.

Cheers
