It was quite common to see dual use controllors during the PlayStations tenure, mostly it was dual compatibility with the Sega Saturn. Here we have a steering wheel with both PlayStation and Nintendo 64 functionality. And it does have a hell of a lot of features for both consoles.

Logic3 released a whole load of steering wheels for the PlayStation 1 and this is another example of one of them. The Top Drive Sprinter is named as such for its sleek design, being a lot small and compact than most wheels and pedal combos.

The ferrari branded 360 Modena Steering wheel comes with the clever Knee Top system that allows the steering wheel section to neatly sit on a players lap, rather than having a table in from of them, or trying to rest a flat bottomed wheel on their legs. It also comes with flappy panel levers for throttle and braking, which is strange considering these would be better suited to gear change. Obviously the Special Edition Red part of this is the Ferrari red colouring to it all.

Finally another steering wheel for the site!! This time its the Thrustmaster Ferrari branded compact steering wheel with flappy paddle gear system. Its in decent condition, but its a little on the small size for my big feet so its still Mad Cats allt he way for me.

Analog and Digital Steering Wheel with Foot Pedals

The only drawback of steering wheel systems is having to have a table or solid surface in front of you whilst you play. With most consoles hooked up to the family TV its very hard to find a suitable place to tie down the steering wheel controller and its too hard to use with it balanced on your lap.

Still it does work fantastically for racing games, using my guage game of Ridge Racer this game in with the 2nd quickest lap time behind the NegCon.
