So I am sorry if this slows your browsers down to a crawl but here are the rest of the best.

So we got various hardware and software posters there, some German stuff, some UK stuff, some Tomb Raider, so Ape Escape, some In Cold Blood, some Actua’s. The list is endless, well its not actually as that is it, it has ended. Yayyyy!!!!

Oh wait no I promised you one special one didn’t I. Well here it is

This is actually a poster that was used in UK phone boxes to advertise a competition in line with Wild9. It was supposed to encourage people to throw some money in the phone and press an assigned button in order to get entered into a competition to win a holiday in California.

Now why is this special? Well the fact that one of these is actually in existence is amazing considering what UK phone boxes actually get used for, lets just say its not for making phone calls

Well there we go another marathon finished finally, and this one was a pretty long one. Like I said more updates are still planned, along with some new features to the site as soon as Lady Defcon has got her stuff together and is ready to go with her section. She is trying her hardest guys, so be patient.

The Tomb Raider series has obviously been a big part of the PlayStation 1, and this game alone has wasted me countless hours trying to dodge rolling boulders, hang from ledges way too high in the air, and work out just where do those bubbles come from?

Obviously the popularity of Lara Croft has made this series transform from game to large screen heroine, comic book star, and soft drink advertiser. And along with all of those things it means that this game series has a mean set of limited edition and other collectibles. And so I thought I would show case a few that I own in my very own Tomb Raider Collection Run Down!!!!!

First off lets start with the original Tomb Raider, and this one is a French release blister pack containing game, memory card and controller.

Next up we have Tomb Raider 3, again from France, packed up with a controller and a walkthrough guide.

Next up we have the Australian released Tomb Raiders Collectors Edition.

How about some double packs? What about two versions of Tomb Raider 1 & 2? Both French releases again.

And we can folow that up with a Tomb Raider 3 & 4 Double Pack, again straight from France.

And we can end with a Tomb Raider 3 Memory Card.

So that is quite an impressive amount of Tomb Raider limited editions and hardware already. But how about we add 2 more? And more specifically, how about we add two more new finds to that?

So without further ado I give you. The Tomb Raider Clock Edition!

Well everything any Lara fan would want is a bit of an understatement in this case. Used to help promote Tomb Raider II, this box set comes packed to the brim with goodies. Now these, more than likely, never even got out of the shop and were probably bagged by shop staff before the public could get their hands on them, however it was supposed to be used as an extra for when you bought the game itself. The inclusion of a PlayStation sticker is a nice touch for customising your console.

Well here we have a real rarity. Tomb Raider 1 in a big box version, packaged along with a Lara CD Clock. This is still sealed however it does state on a sticker that it is the PSX version, it also has an ELSPA rating on the bottom of the box.

This is a sealed pack of promo playing cards used to advertise Die Hard Trilogy 2 Viva Las Vegas for Playstation 1.

Driver 2 Promo Cards

This is a sealed pack of promo playing cards used to advertise Driver 2 for Playstation 1.

Fear Effect 2 Promo Postcards

Attack Of The Saucermen Keychain

This little fella comes from Attack Of The Saucermen by Pysgnosis, this promo keychain is metal and enamel and inscribed on the rear with game name and publisher.

Soul Reaver Store Display Items

Here we have some Point of Sale items for Soul Reaver by Eidos. It includes a holographic inlay (seen on some versions of the game), 2 window stickers and a cardboard standee.

Fluid DJ Slip Mats

Here we have some DJ slip mats, used on turntables to stop your vinyls slipping, promoting the game Fluid. They obviously come as a pair as DJ’s tend to use two turntables.

Spring Roadshow T-Shirt

Here we have a t-shirt made up for the Playstation Spring Roadshow, I am guessing it was either a giveaway item or something giving to those running the roadshow. If anyone has any more information on this please contact me to let me know.

Sim City 3000 Promotional Jacket

A joint effort here, with Maxis teaming with Sony to make up this promotional jacket to advertise Sim City 3000. It is a standard black bomber jacket style, with popper fastenings on the front and embroided logos.

Promotional Sheep Mouse Mat

A nice little cute promo item here from Empire to advertise the game Sheep. It is your standard foam backed mouse mat emblazened with the little sheep fella himself. One for the ladies I think you’ll agree.

From the launch of PlayStation we have this informative card pack used by retailers to help sell more PlayStation peripherals. Each card contains information on each peripheral that was available around launch time.

This is a pack of promotional material sent out by Sony to advertise Tekken 3, The Fifth Element, Medieval and the PlayStation itself. Dressed up like a mock medical report and including X-Ray scans of the games and a persons skull it allowed people to send off for Hand Conditioners (like the above brain stress toy) and Thumb Protectors (not present). It also contains a sheet of paper detailing different hardware available from Sony including the Namco Arcade Stick, the Multi-Tap and Dual Shock controllers. It also contains a section on Shiny Entertainment’s Wild 9.

Anyway back to todays update we have…

Another French double pack this time with Tomb Raider 3 and Last Revelation packed together in a cardboard sleeve with the lady herself draped across. Not much else to say about it, except that it joins the multitude of other Tomb Raider packs in the Defconsoft collection.

Now on to one more piece of news, with the recent addition above the limited edition, my side of the site is getting massive and to be honest a little unwieldy, so I am going to try and break it down a little more in order to create an easy browsing experience. Hopefully this will not cause too many problems but it may take me a while so do not expect miracles. Once it is done hopefully things will be easier to find with general browsing.
