Unfortunately I have to thank AtariBuff for sending me this game over.

So there we go then, its done at last. No more having to buy off eBay, search through charity shops and……… oh wait, country variants!! Looks like I am gonna still be at this for a while.

Also on to further news, and for those of you not on our forums we have finally released the database online for everyone to use. You can browse through it by clicking on this link or the link in the top menu. It is very early stages at the moment and will be going through a lot of changes over the coming month. If you do find any issues with it you can always discuss them in our forums.

Yep that is what it looks like. Its Grand Theft Auto Double Feature and yes that is my kitchen table. And its all down to one person. Our very own New Zealand native Coop1826. Who is now known as Coop-erman (well at least his custom forum title says that). Now all I have to do is remember to send him his games back along with Saturn’s stuff, me no lazy .

But that means that I am now down to needing 1 game, 1 single solitary game, 1 single solitary game that just happens to be sitting in Ataribuff’s grotto over in Austrialand, 1 single solitary game that just happens to be sitting in Ataribuff’s grotto over in Austrialand when it should be sitting in my hands in Englandland so I can officially say I have a complete PAL collection. So everyone send evil looking glares in Ataribuff’s direction so that he will send it over to me and we can have a party.

And on the subject of money (and the title of this post) I have some kind of upsetting news from the Defconsoft household. Due to the current financial climate a few items from my collection are going to be going up for sale on eBay in the not to distance future, in fact I am pretty much giving up collecting PlayStation hardware and am going to concentrate on software, demos and promo items. I don’t really want to give up the hardware collecting but needs must at the moment, and having a house to live it is better than owning a rare console.

So basically that means that my 10 Million Model set will be up for sale soon, along with my Yaroze and debug units, memory cards, the lot. The only hardware I will be keeping is stuff that comes packaged with software. I will be sure to make everyone aware when these items go up for sale and this will probably happen in the next couple of weeks.

Hopefully this will allow me to recoup some of my money and put me back in the black, and it will allow me to concentrate on more important matters like the Online Database which I know you are all waiting for still.

So keep em peeled for when I throw up the auctions and of course keep posting in the forums, we got quite a community building back there.

Yes as you can see we have had a little bit of a face lift, which includes a new name. Yes gone are the days of Defconsoft vs Mint In The Box, the endless banter between AtariBuff and myself. We have decided to throw the towel in on that and put up a joint front in all things PAL PlayStation.

And that is where the Collective comes in, because together we can be a much better and educated resource. Also you have to add the knowledge of Bucky B into the mix as well, who is, along with Lady Defcon, an invaluable asset to the site.

And finally there is you guys as well, which is where the Collective really comes in. This is a site for everyone and all to have input in.

So bye bye Defconsoft vs Mint In The Box and say hello to the new big boy in town. The PAL PlayStation Collective.

In the coming days and weeks we will be adding tonnes of new stuff, including another set of marathon updates from me, a small joint venture by AtariBuff and I, and hopefully the long awaited PAL PlayStation Online Database.

We also have something exciting coming from Lady Defcon herself that will hopefully get everyone involved in site in some way which is great news.

What that means is that soon I will be able to throw up a few updates which will include some new, never before seen (well not by me anyway) aquisitions.

But for now I am not going to leave you guys hanging and I thought I would throw up something that I found on youtube while searching for random stuff. Probably one of the most iconic intro’s in the Playstation 1’s history, and that is of Tekken!!!

What can be said about Tekken that has not already be said, well it just happens to be my favourite fighter on the PS1, and even though its follow ups did look visually better than the first, it is still this one that I throw in my console when I want to let off a bit of steam.

Anyway back to todays update we have…

Another French double pack this time with Tomb Raider 3 and Last Revelation packed together in a cardboard sleeve with the lady herself draped across. Not much else to say about it, except that it joins the multitude of other Tomb Raider packs in the Defconsoft collection.

Now on to one more piece of news, with the recent addition above the limited edition, my side of the site is getting massive and to be honest a little unwieldy, so I am going to try and break it down a little more in order to create an easy browsing experience. Hopefully this will not cause too many problems but it may take me a while so do not expect miracles. Once it is done hopefully things will be easier to find with general browsing.

My machine is back….here……in front of me…….i’m typing on it now!!!
Of course I have no idea if they fixed the problem as they flattened the hard drive so I have had to re-install everything which is a major pain in the arse. And of course I haven’t everything installed quite yet but it will all get back in shape over time.

For you now I am just happy she is back home with me and I can finally think about forgetting this silly website and doing something else more interesting….

….only joking. Its update weekend, they gonna come at ya thick and fast so be ready.
