Teh Future

Ok the final part of my update today is some news. As our regular readers know I am not happy about the speed of the site recently, well I think I have tracked it down however in order to solve the problem its going to take a big overhaul of the site. Now because of this I am going to be stepping back into the shadows for a little while as I try to get it all sorted out, so what that means is that I will not be throwing up as many updates as I have lately until I get it done. I will continue to update you all on the progress to a complete collection but that will be about it as I ferret around in the back end.

I will still be around to post in the forums and stuff so its not like I am dissappearing, and also it might give AtariBuff a kick up the butt to do some updates as I know he has some great stuff to show you guys. So everyone should hassle him to update, throw a comment on this post and I am sure with enough name calling we can get him to do it.

You will know when I am going to make a comeback on updates as well, as you will see a big change around here. Anyway for now I hope this is enough to keep you going for now. I will see you on the forums and try to get this done as soon as possible.

My personal Holy Grail successfully obtained, well I say successfully obtained but to be honest this is not the greatest example. The box is a little rough and it does not include its controller, however this is my site and I am calling it as a successful find.

Finally as far as new finds go, well I did manage to win an auction for 473 PlayStation demos, which I picked up yesterday and still need to go through so I am sure the demo section with be updated soon. I am also going to add a Promo section for all the Promo versions I have of games to be shown off. Also managed to pick up a nice Space Invaders plus Controller pack from Australia so waiting on that to arrive. As far as the standard game collection goes, I have managed to knock another 20 or so off the list so hopefully that will be complete soon, I will need to update the game pages to reflect this won’t I.

The bedroom programmers dream come true thanks to Sony, the Yaroze allowed people to create games for their PlayStation out of their own bedrooms. With a little programming knowledge and all this kit hooked up to their machine the world was their oyster. A small homebrew scene sprang up on release of the Yaroze and some games even made it to the big league however it really didn’t take off too greatly mainly due to the cost of the kit needed to get started.

This set up is missing one of the controllers but it is still my little pride and joy.

The 2nd generation PlayStation was not something that ever got me too excited. Whilst it was impressive to see all of the kit of a 1st generation PlayStation wrapped up in this small shell it just never seemed to look that good to me, plus I was always afraid that I was going to break it whenever I popped the lid.
