I saw this game for the first time on EBay today, and it went for a sweet 50 bucks, which is what I would usally pay for a un-common to rare sort of game, but it just looked like another generic action game. Anyway got any extra information on it?

Destrega is a bit on the rare side, as you expected. That and many players also want to get the game because it’s not bad on the play-side.
A definite sleeper hit.
