I totally forgot this and should of made a post on the front page but its too late now.
However it is time we wish our beloved friend a happy 12th birthday for the 29th September.
(obviously this is just the PAL version and not its dirty brothers from Japan and the US).
So I hope everyone takes a little moment today (albeit a little late) to hug your PlayStation. Go on, give the little fella a squeeze, and just pity me……. I have 23!!!!

I do pity you!
I’ve been in the same boat, having 30+ “of the same” console. What a mess… Didn’t really want them, I couldn’t help but getting more and more of them while buying small lots. In the end, I got rid of them all, only kept one or two that were boxed, and the occasional rare variation.

I only have one boxed one  I still need an older version so I can use my game shark in the back

ahem, I have to tell you, that the one I ordered (a multi-region one with already built-in chip) back then, came just in a brown Sony cardboard-box. What I wanna tell you is: I have all PAL games but NOT ONE boxed PS1 
Shame on me…

Actually, as far as PS1 is concerned, I’m with AtariBuff here. I only have the boxed PS1 Combo, and exactly two loose PS1’s that happened to come with small lots I bought.
Oh, and I think that “somewhere” I still have my own ps1 from back in the days, but I managed to screw it up real bad. Was modded, laser gone bad, and I’ve been playing around with that ‘gain’ thingie.
Only thing hooked up here is the PS2.

Well happy belated to PS!
I still have my original launch day PS1, still working perfectly for me.
I have everything that came with it, including a receipt for a Master System part-exchange. I’m sure not many people did that. LOL
The only other I’ve kept is a modded and “hifi-enhanced” 1002 I nowadays use for playing and whatnot.

Day 1 PS1, still boxed. Now that is the kind of person we want around here

to think of it: not only our PAL PlayStation exists since 1995, also the 8 launch titles (and maybe 1 or 2 (i have to check) that were released in November, December 1995) are now 12 years old
