Sometimes, when an auction is listed as “Shipping to Germany only” I ask the seller, but usually I just bid and hope that everything works out. I know they will send to the Netherlands, they always do!
Ofcourse, except for this one that I ran into today 
Ah well, I can probably find a German contact that can receive this stuff for me, but it’ll cost me some extra shipping
You guys don’t want to know how often I’ve had sellers tell me that some games were “pickup only!” and were absolutely unwilling to send games to me, even here inside the Netherlands. They put on their tinfoil hats and tell me that the post always steals their packages… (ok, there might be some truth in there  )

How do you think I feel, some people think because there is some water in between us and them that there is no way a postman could deliver it!!!
Add to that those people who want personal cheques, which is great if you’re currency is the Euro but we don’t got no funny money here.
Unfortunatly Bucky I know of no Germans who might be able to help.

Ouch.. the worst thing I ever did on eBay was bid on a US game where only western union was accepted  German sellers are always tough.. they hardly ever accept paypal payments and the shipping costs are often excessive, even to neighbouring countries.
@BuckyB, nice to see we live in the same country If you made up your mind about the ‘preservation’ thingie, I could always help you out in Dutch.. also, if you have any spare demo discs like Defcon, plz let me know I’m still missing a bunch of them

Vigi, we can always talk about the preservation stuff. Like I said, I’m not against it… Mail me at my buxxter gmail account.
An international bank transfer to Germany is not really a problem, it’s just not as safe as paypal.
… And I still envy Hardy’s games

I just want you guys know:
I bought yesterday (or better in the last night) a game from Australia.
I paid it some minutes ago with paypal.
And now the funny/interesting thing:
Paypal PAYS FOR YOU the shipping costs from Australia.
I had to pay 17 AU-Dollar for the shipping….but paypal paid them for me
Seems this is a kind of paypal-promotion.
Maybe it’s interesting for you to check the australian ebay…
