Final Fantasy VIII Press Discs
^Same seller. Doesn’t come with any additional material, and I don’t know if its supposed to. I had placed a bid on this, but got outbid and I don’t intend on pursuing it any further. Good luck.
Its worth checking out some of the seller’s other items too. There’s sealed copies of Rebel Assault II and Crime Killer, among some other nice catches.
^Only pointing this out because I’ve never seen it so cheap on eBay Australia.

lol…very funny. From the same seller I bought yesterday a sealed Guardians Crusade…and I also had a look at the FF VIII press discs. A pity that I will go on a vacation on Saturday for one week…would also bid on the FF VIII. But doesn’t matter, maybe somebody of you guys will pick it up now.

He said these things are all from his friends who worked for Sony (if I understand it right).

Those final fantasy discs come with the original press kit, that is equal to the regular collector’s edition boxset. Instead of coming with the “not for sale” game it comes with a clear case with those promo discs and an aditional “Mac” press disc.
There are some interesting items for sale in those links but I’m broke. No way I can buy anything now (unless it costs 5 or 6 pounds shipped :D)

No, I don’t think you can tell which one is unless you see the contents. The only difference I found was the game discs and the additional press disc instead of the game, everything else remains the same.

Well it’s kinda rare but not as much as many other press kits. I have seen it at least 10 times on ebay, the higher price was something around 60 euros or so. I actually had two of those, sold one to a friend and even helped another friend getting that box for 19 euros BIN from ebay.de so this should give you an idea of how rare it was. However, it takes time to appear on ebay and right now it has been quite a while since I’ve seen the last one, that makes me guess that it’s pretty tough to find the box at this moment. The box also comes with a bandai figure of either Tidus or Yuna, both can be bought separately with no difference from the ones that come with this kit. I’ve also seen the 3 disc edition that comes with the box for sale separately, there was one for sale on ebay.co.uk about a couple of weeks ago.

I bought a three disc promo of FFX about 18 months ago for 6 pounds shipped. It had no figure and came in a normal PS2 case. As soon as I won it a guy in Spain offered me 20 quid because the English seller wouldn’t ship abroad. No chance senor!
