Resident Evil 1.5 Prototype
October 26, 2007 | In Defcon |The PlayStation Museum has managed to get their grubby little dual shock grabbing hands on a copy of Resident Evil 1.5 (a Resident Evil 2 prototype). Here is a little description from the Museum themselves.
It was bound to happen….it was only a matter of time. Nearly 11 years ago one of the biggest tragedies in PlayStation history happened…Resident Evil 2 was fully scrapped and re-designed. The Resident Evil 2 Prototype (also referred to as RE 1.5) was put to rest and although highly sought after, it was assumed lost.
The game looks great and its a shame that it did get re-designed to what we now know as Resident Evil 2, but if you head on over to their site you can see some screenshots and even video from the prototype.
Resident Evil 2 Prototype (aka Resident Evil 1.5)
Cheers

Stuff never gets lost, it all turns up someday. Great find! Please note that we are talking of the Japanese (NTSC-J) version of the game!
that would be impossible since an american version wasn’t even started on.
thanks, I mistyped. I corrected it!

If you have a copy of 1.5 it’s your duty as ps players to make copys and distribute them to every one!
Well thats the thing. I do not have a copy of this and I do wish that I did.
i have been a resi evil fan since the first one came out and had no idea that a prototype ever existed
if anyone some how gets a copy put it online because ive been waiting for 11 years for this and so far havnt played a second of it and its really starting to piss me off it i think we should gather all the fans and post at the same time to capcom that we want them to finish and sell this kick ass looking game who is with me
